I know a golf ball will lose distance at sea level versus an inland course. Is there a percentage loss at sea level versus lets state a golf ball hit at a course that is 1000 ft above sea level. Is that 2% 4% 6%? Anyone know the percentage loss?
I was thought of painting a golf ball for my father for dads day because he adores golf and has a shelf to put golf balls on. Does anyone know what kind of paint would work ideal to put on golf balls?

I put some impact tape on my driver and I consistently hit the golf ball more towards the heel. I shoot in the high 80’s and have taken lessons for this problem. Video tape shows my hands pushing out slightly (towards the direction I am facing). The results are pull hooks or outright shanks. Obviously lessons aren’t helping.
Any drills or tips would be great!
I know you have to hit balls till your hands bleed but ought I concentrate on ball placement or swing tempo or wrist movement or swing arc or body position….maybe the question i ought ask is what ought i concentrate on first….i have played golf for yrs and have found some clubs im comfortable with….id like to hear what has helped other casual golfers improve their game….THANKS!
I play golf and I play regularly. My handicap is fifteen but off the tee box I nearly always slice the ball nearly 30 yards from where I intended. I take nice, smooth swings but I think it’s my setup.
I do not play very often, so its hard to decide how far I will hit the ball during a round of golf and the distance I hit balls on at the driving range doesn’t seem to be the same as on the course. How can I compare the two?
I saw this once on ESPN in the late 90’s. A player with an over-sized driver would hit a golf ball towards a group of players that all held something that looked like a stop sign. These players would attempt to knock the ball down.
What is the rule if I hit a ball in a flower bed on a golf course. Many times around a green there is an area decorated with flowers and ornamental shrubs. If I hit a ball in that area do I get a free lift. I can not obtain any rule that specificly explains this.
